Is the free plan really free forever?
Yes. Booking, your diary and client profiles stay free for as long as you use PETAL — no trial, no time limit, no card needed to start. Deposits have no monthly fee either; PETAL just keeps a small cut of each one (see below).
How do deposits work, and what does PETAL take?
Connect your bank account once. Then, on any booking in your diary, tap Request deposit and PETAL creates a secure card-payment link for 25% of the price for you to send your client. When they pay, the booking shows the deposit as paid. Stripe's card fee (usually about 1.5% + 20p for a UK card) comes off each deposit, and PETAL keeps 2% (or 50p if that's more). The rest goes to your bank, paid out weekly. If you refund a deposit, we issue your client's refund straight away (it can take 5–10 working days to reach their card). Stripe doesn't return its card fee, so you pay that part, not your client. There's no monthly charge for deposits.
How do bookings get into my diary?
You add them yourself — for a phone call, a walk-in, or anything else — straight into your diary. There's no public booking page yet; that's coming in a future update.
When does Pro launch, and what does it add?
Pro is built and being tested now, at £14.99 a month once released. It adds a photo saved with every client visit, plus more features over time.
Is my clients' information safe?
Yes. Your information is kept private to you and held securely. Looking after sensitive client details properly is built in, not bolted on.
