Deposit and cancellation policy

How a booking deposit works, and what happens if a booking is cancelled.

Current as of 23/09/2026— working draft, not yet reviewed by a solicitor.

This policy has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. It reflects our actual deposit process in plain language, but if anything below is unclear, please contact your hairdresser before paying.

1. The deposit

Once your hairdresser confirms your appointment slot, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit of 25% of the confirmed priceto secure it. The deposit is paid securely through Stripe — your card details are never seen or stored by us.

2. What the deposit is for

Your hairdresser turns away other bookings once your slot is confirmed. The deposit protects her time against a late cancellation or a no-show, and is deducted from the total price you pay on the day.

3. Cancelling your appointment

If you cancel 24 hours or more beforeyour appointment, your deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or do not attend, your hairdresser is not obliged to refund the deposit — though she may choose to at her discretion, taking the circumstances into account.

4. If your hairdresser cancels

If your hairdresser needs to cancel your appointment, your deposit is always refunded in full.

5. How a refund is issued

Any refund is issued by your hairdresser back to the card used to pay the deposit, through Stripe. Refunds are normally issued by your hairdresser — if you believe you’re owed a refund, please contact them directly. In the rare case that a booking had already been cancelled, or the time was no longer available, when your payment arrived, your deposit is refunded to your card automatically.
